I'm a single homeowner with a sprinkler system and a pond.both of which use pvc pipes. I'm older and have arthritis in my hands. These are a godsend!The ratchet makes it so easy for me to cut the 1/2" pipe in my sprinkler system as well as the 1 1/2" of my pond system. I have actually used garden lopers to try and cut sprinkler pipe, but it only works sometimes, sometimes it would crush the pipe. But there were times when I just knew I didn't need to hire someone to do such a simple task.and now with these cutters I can do it all myself.I do not use these daily, nor, when I do use them do I make more than a couple cuts at a time. They've held up for me doing light homeowner jobs and saved me a ton of money hiring others to do these odd jobs.No complaints.
