Based on the grit of the metal I'm pretty sure this whole set is injection molded. There is nothing wrong with this as it is becoming more common, particularly in power tool gearboxes and other applications where the complexity of the various components means extremely expensive machining. To be completely honest, the metal doesn't look or feel particularly strong, but be aware that this tool is only intended to be used for pushing/tightening the caliper pistons. It's not exactly an intensive application. If you break or damage this tool during use, you are either really stupid and doing something terribly wrong, or there is a much bigger problem elsewhere, most likely a worn caliper piston. Keep in mind that some caliper pistons are not designed for winding, even if they have small winding slots. In this case, they will simply contact you and not interfere. The reverse is also true: some pistons bind with linear compression force and need to be backed up like a bolt. Be sure to try an adapter that causes and does not cause twisting. If none of these work, make sure the vehicle doesn't require some weird procedure that you weren't involved in. To be honest I don't see any practical situation where this tool would break. So once you get the hang of it, you might consider hiring someone else, someone with an ounce of competence, to fix and service your car. One last note: there are other kits. with many adapters out there. I chose this one because Nieko is generally considered a decent brand, so I figured it was "safe". Before you buy, make sure you have the adapter you really need.
