As a mechanical engineer in the HVAC industry I figured why not test them out and see how effective they are. I can tell you I rode these things hard all day, not just the R22 and 134a. I checked with a tee and my Testo manifold, the readings are accurate but ***in Celsius*** when I ordered them I was high and wasn't paying attention. Regardless, the sensors themselves have been deployed in a real HVAC area for a month. I'll start with the hoses. They were cheap as dirt to begin with and worked well even at pressures over 300psi. but after a week or so the rubber pads don't know why anymore. Were destroyed. Vacuum can't pull at all. The collector is fine, but the sight glass fogged up after a few uses and I was never able to clean it completely. I found myself laughing as the bottom and top side handles kept breaking in my hand. In short, for $20 you get a few uses and then you can just throw them away. So if you need a disposable set I would suggest these as they are so cheap if you are just a DIY enthusiast who wants to charge your cars with AC and don't mind them breaking after a use or two. If you're an HVAC specialist and are looking for a starter kit, do yourself a favor and buy a Testo, Field Sample, or Yellow Jacket that's time-tested.
