You can become a pilot, but is it really worth the downside?

Oh yes, the acquisition of Saitek did a lot of good for Logitech. But the big push was that it gave Logitech the biggest push for gaming peripherals I've ever seen. So where did we go so wrong that we have to take Saitek's proven design and add so many bugs to it that it's not useless. but exciting. Let me explain; I purchased the HOTAS system with the express intention of using it in Elite: Dangerous. The game already had keybinding profiles, and I wanted the device to last, especially knowing that Logitech had forever become a household name. but after about 3 weeks something is wrong with the throttle. The throttle twist X and Y wheels began to detect motion even when the wheels weren't touching. Okay minor complaint, increase the deadzone and continue. Then it started happening with the throttle itself while I had it at its weakest resistance. Okay, reduce the drag and increase the dead zone there a bit. Setup settings are reset to default values. God! Has this batch undergone a small quality control? Possible, but it still works. Despite all my complaints about the quality of the materials, like the cheap plastic used for the grips and technical issues, this thing is still very comfortable to use. With my smaller than average hands, I can still reach everything around the throttle and stick with ease, making it the most ergonomic grip I've used in a long time.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Makes me angry
