Required software cannot be installed. The fix indicates a problem.

The software required to use this controller (EXE download from Logitech) does not work in the middle of the installation (grey Next button). Logitech's FAQ mentions a solution to this problem, and the solution instructs you to download a ZIP file that contains device drivers that need to be accessed manually through Device Manager (Win 10). However, the FAQ links to the Saitek page, which in turn links directly to the original Logitech EXE download. The controller is unusable. I searched the…

and in comparison I'm glad to have it back

I've had joysticks from A to Z. This is the second X52 Pro I have and in comparison I'm glad to have it back. I've tried other brands recently and each failed quickly and was returned. From the moment I started this it was like meeting an old friend. It has a good feel and enough buttons to meet my FSX needs. I would give it five stars but it still bugs me how the first one failed. The joysticks worked well and lasted a long time, but the cable connections deteriorated after a few years. For…

Not recommended, not even as a starter.

this is not worth the money at all. save yourself from heartbreak. I'll start with the positive things. I really like the key layout, texture and overall feel of the combo. The buttons are nice and clicky, and the flip-down security lid is a nifty addition. Cons - The mouse protrusion on the throttle is wobbly and likes to bounce around everywhere on its own. I had to turn it off in the program. The LED clock on the bottom COULD be a few more buttons or switches. Distraction number one - the…

You can become a pilot, but is it really worth the downside?

Oh yes, the acquisition of Saitek did a lot of good for Logitech. But the big push was that it gave Logitech the biggest push for gaming peripherals I've ever seen. So where did we go so wrong that we have to take Saitek's proven design and add so many bugs to it that it's not useless. but exciting. Let me explain; I purchased the HOTAS system with the express intention of using it in Elite: Dangerous. The game already had keybinding profiles, and I wanted the device to last, especially knowing

Total failure after 3 weeks, 2nd failure after a week

I was also very wary of this after reading all the negative reviews about the quality. Yes, the throttle is a bit stiff, I can live with that, but otherwise everything was fine and I was really hoping to get lucky with mine, but no. This precision metal switch on the throttle no longer works 100% in the down direction. I've also been very gentle with it - I've only used it to casually navigate menus in Elite Dangerous. Everything else is fine and I don't plan on returning mine because it's just

Very good workmanship, no adjustment problems

Addendum: The stick failed after only 15 hours of use. Rating to 2 stars. SOME REASON FOR THE 2 STARS IS THE LACK OF A CLEAR WARRANTY REPAIR INSTRUCTION AND A WEBSITE THAT WILL ALWAYS REACH YOU EXCEPT WHERE YOU NEED TO BE FOR WARRANTY HELP. It literally took me hours to find a phone number to call the warranty department. The website seems to take you everywhere for troubleshooting and what not, however, it never seems to take you to the right link to get a warranty or ask for help. I…

Pretty good but could use some improvements here or there.

So it's been a little over a year since I bought this HOTAS and I thought I should write a little review about it. For the most part I am very happy with them. The joystick is very motion sensitive as it uses magnets and hall sensors for the X and Y axis. I don't know what a rudder sensor is but it works fine too. Ergonomically, it feels good in hand and the button layout is quite good, although I sometimes have trouble hitting one or the other switch when moving my thumb over the C key…
