Total failure after 3 weeks, 2nd failure after a week

I was also very wary of this after reading all the negative reviews about the quality. Yes, the throttle is a bit stiff, I can live with that, but otherwise everything was fine and I was really hoping to get lucky with mine, but no. This precision metal switch on the throttle no longer works 100% in the down direction. I've also been very gentle with it - I've only used it to casually navigate menus in Elite Dangerous. Everything else is fine and I don't plan on returning mine because it's just being replaced with the same one and maybe the throttle on the new one is too tight or some other issue so I'll just live with it. . We have a small market, we use game controllers like that, and I don't want to fret about hiring any company "anyway because they don't have the money". In the future I will probably find a professional to replace this switch with a good quality one, but that will have to wait until the extended warranty is up. YES, you should always take this protection plan with you when you buy something like this. No driver or software issues on Windows 10. The software is a bit fiddly, but it works. You can't get full functionality with every possible switch/mouse button combination, but there are many ways to bypass them. Love the LEDs and the fact that you can change the colors - it really helps to organize and remember the controls. I like the twist yaw input on the joystick, but I'm afraid it may also fail over time since I use it all the time. <sigh> Have you explored the area? It's hard to find a good article of this kind! Unfortunately! Edit: Total failure after 3 weeks of careful use. The internal logic board has failed. No LED control, no key press outputs, no MFD response. I'll go and try again. Up to one star for lack of reliability. 2nd and final change: I wanted to write a good review about a good HOTAS but failed on my second attempt to own this product a week later. Another internal logic board error. I'm going to warthog lol 3rd and final edit. The warthog didn't accept the programming! Brand new and ready to use right out of the box, it works great except you can't map buttons to the good software. There was just an awkward timeout and an error message. I had to take it back to Fry's Electronics the next day. The search for a decent HOTAS continues. By the way, the warthog has no yawing or turning at all. To do this, you need to buy additional pedals.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
