Not for a 5 gallon tank
I bought this light to replace the one that came with my 5 gallon GloFish corner tank. You can't do that with this tank. My original attachment was about 3 inches long and fit the aquarium. This lantern is twice as long and does not attach to this specific tank/lid. I ended up with a flashlight with suction cups that attached to the lid (and this flashlight was waterproof). The light seems to be of good quality. Just wanted others to be aware of the size difference.
