Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Zerostart 2600900 Portable Electric Car Heater - Interior Compact Plug-in Warmer, 3,000 BTU, 120V, 900W by Maurice Stavros

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good heating, wish it had a thermostat.

Keeps me warm in Alaskan spring (5F to 40F temp range). I just got back from a 5 mile trip to Alaska. My RV wasn't ready, including onboard heating, so I took that as one of my backup plans. I ended up using it extensively. At night, the temperature in my van stayed comfortable at 20 degrees Fahrenheit. in front of the exhaust opening. It seems to say here to leave at least 15 inches, but when they're in the line of fire it gets very hot. I would recommend a distance of at least 3 feet straight ahead. I ended up with a piece of bubble wrap. Insulation and a shield to keep the heater from overheating my other nearby equipment. I was even concerned about the insulation's ability to handle heat from 2 feet away. On nights over 20F I had to control the temperature by unplugging and plugging it back in - I'd rather just run it 'low'.
