I am very impressed with these storage boxes! I replaced the old plastic jars with glass jars and these are the best I've tried. The glass itself is a good weight and can be used in the freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher. You can even go straight from the freezer into a hot oven - just don't forget to remove the plastic lid as it's not oven safe. The lids are what make these containers stand out. They have slide tabs on each end that you slide in to secure the lid to the container, slide out to open the lid slightly, and open halfway to open the steam port for microwave cooking. Very versatile and well made - I would definitely buy again.
