I give this radio a high rating because I bought another one. So much so that I wished for a second GT-3TP. When it arrived there was NO radio or battery in the box. Everything else was in the box. But I have no idea what happened to the radio. Revain, whatever they were, gave me my money back. I will order the same radio later. A few things you need to know about this radio and every other Baofeng radio. It has several functions. (1) Once the frequencies are programmed into the radio, it is impossible to prevent the radio from scanning the frequency. The only way is to remove the frequency. What I'm trying to say is that there is no on/off switch for frequency. If you want to hear it later, you'll have to reprogram it on the radio. (2) Interrupt suppression is allowed. If you drive under power lines or there is a very weak station, etc., the radio will generate a lot of static noise. The only way around this is to buy a shorter or shorter antenna (2.5" Mini Soft Whip). It helps a lot. The problem with the Mini Whip is that it shortens the range of the radio. Some saying that it should only be used for UHF and that using the mini on VHF could damage the radio you may want to do some research before ordering or using a mini I really like this radio and hope to get one soon get more.
