I bought these to wear on the beach and in the ocean to protect my feet from shells and rocks, they worked well for that, the only thing I don't like about them is they take a longgg time to dry and getting then on your feet when they're wet if you want to wear them a second time in one day is a struggle. Overall I am very pleased with this order though and the company was very helpful with a follow up to ensure my order arrived correctly. I'm usually a womens 7.5 or 8 and the medium fits me perfect
