Review on 🔚 Garmin Dezl 760LMT: 7-Inch Bluetooth Trucking GPS with Lifetime Maps & Traffic (Discontinued) by Jesus Gallagher

The first thing I want to say after reading most of the negative reviews is that GPS is not intended to replace an available atlas with printed directions or your brain . This is a tool designed to be used in conjunction with these other resources. When it reports that a particular route is restricted to trucks you don't recognize, you have the option to take control and still drive on. If you are unsure, use one of the resources above and study your itinerary. The route information that GPS gives you is only as accurate as the information provided by the state DOT. If you've driven trucks for a while, you know how accurate (or not) some information can be. I've been a truck driver for a little over 32 years, with breaks. I've only recently started driving 'on the road' again after 12 years of local and regional travel and have found that there are additional tools that make the job easier. I did a lot of research and decided on a Garmin Dezl 760. This is a very good GPS for my purposes. I work for a company whose main customer is a large golf cart manufacturer. We ship to Country Clubs, Resorts, Golf Courses and Dealers throughout the United States. Some of these places are very exclusive and very remote. I recently delivered a shipment of new golf carts to a resort in Rosiada, New Mexico. You won't find this town in the 2014 Rand McNally Carrier Atlas. My Dezl 760LMT took me right there, including about 3 1/2 miles of gravel roads, with no problems. This block is packed with features almost too numerous to mention. Free map updates and real-time traffic information is great. Features no one talks about: * The 7 inch screen with split screen mode and accurate graphical representation of upcoming crossing demands is awesome. * truck profile; You can program the weight, length and height of your truck and the device will project your route. corresponding. Obviously, this feature is most valuable for oversized cargo. * Connects to your phone via Bluetooth. This feature satisfies hands-free requirements for all states, including the few that also don't require headphones. However, if your device is set to be more than 2 1/2 feet from your face, attendees may have trouble hearing you, so consider using an optional external microphone.* Voice command; Target programming and other functions without using the keyboard. Microphone can be useful.* Driver Profile; (I don't use this feature.) This electronically reconciles your logbook. This system of units has not yet been adopted by the DOT. My company still l I use loose-leaf magazines and that's enough for me.* Speed zones; 0.5 mile speed limit change warning.* Weight stations; 0.5 mile warning ahead of weight control station or cmv.* state lines or borders; 0.5 Mile Warning on Government Lines* Construction Zones; up to 30 miles warning of construction delays. I don't pay an additional traffic subscription and only receive state job site reports.* Traffic backup; up to 30 miles or more real-time traffic backlog alert, including unrecorded construction delays. * Plus: search for cargo transport; including weigh stations, rest stops, truck stops (by name), parking lots, etc. I bought a "Remanufactured" unit from Revain and saved over $100. It came with a factory warranty and I couldn't tell it from new. This is a great device and an extremely useful tool. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a navigation system for large or commercial vehicles.
