These lights have been on my truck for about a month now. These are high quality, durable lamps. I didn't connect them to the reverse lights. Instead, I connected them to a Nilight 4 rocker switch so I could turn them on and off at the park and while riding. When I installed them I used the template that came with it, taped it to my bumper and drew the outline. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING A TEMPLATE. When I cut the holes in my bumper, the size was a little off, so I made adjustments by eye anyway. The bolt holes were also ripped off and I had to ream them out a bit more and then use a larger washer on the inside of my bumper to attach them. Once connected and installed, the headlights were a great investment. I live in East Texas and it rains quite often here and the roads in the county get very muddy. I had no problems with these lamps. No debris inside, no short circuits, just works every time. I intend to replace the rear bumper at the ranch and these headlights fit right in as well. Good buy for the price.
