Now that I have this hammer I usually keep it in my tool box. I used to use a ball hammer and a brass punch, but I've found that using this brass hammer is much more effective when I can fit the hammer head in my workbench. I haven't grown to love it yet, but when I do I'll just take it to the belt sander and it'll be like new! I have a 1 pound brass hammer and it fits. It's not overly difficult, but I can still knock things out when I need to, usually without fear of messing things up. For example, I hit steel screws with this hammer and it doesn't damage the thread or the screw head. Just wear safety goggles to keep the brass out of your eyes.
