Review on πŸš— Autel MD806 Car Diagnostic Tool: Advanced 4 System Scanner for ABS, Engine, Transmission, SRS - Ideal for Mechanics and DIYers by Jason Hayes

An excellent product at an attractive price.

This tool is called the ALL SYSTEM Diagnostic Tool. It seems to cover all makes and models since 1996 and mine was loaded with the latest software. It also includes an Autel applications CD, an OBD-II connector and a USB cable to connect to a computer, and a manual. All of this is housed in a nice hard plastic case. You can download the latest software online and transfer it to the MD802 via the USB port. The device is powered via a USB cable with 5 V DC and an OBD-II connection with 12 V DC from the car's on-board network. There is also a 3.5mm jack on the side for you to connect the adapter to. You can get it on Ebay for about $6 but make sure the power supply is 12VDC only. On the opposite side is an SD card that you can remove and insert into your computer if you have a standard SD slot or USB adapter. I have an 8GB Class 4 card but I think it takes up to 16GB Class 10 but I don't know if that would be a huge benefit. The software is compatible with all Windows programs up to version 10. Obviously it is not compatible with Mac IOS. The MD802 is easy to use and has so far worked on the Ford, GM and Toyota vehicles I've tried it on. It's not bi-directional, but clears trouble codes with ease. For its price (less than $200) it's worth it. I definitely recommend it for professionals or those who own cars.
