We wanted to phase out the use of single use plastic bags in our home. This was the first reusable style we bought. The first couple uses the bags as expected. The quality was good, they are thick and I expected them to last a long time. After a few uses I couldn't reseal or close the pouches. At first I just thought it was a bad bag in my backpack and threw it away. But after a few days, a few more stopped working. All bags have been hand washed with mild soap and water. Of the five bags we used, four stopped working after the third or fourth use. This created more waste (because it's a much thicker plastic) than if we just used disposable zippers.
