This is an absolutely adorable fall coat for my 8lb female Papillon/Chihuahua Mixture. I've used it several times in light rain and cold autumn mornings. It does a good job of helping my dog stay dry and keeps him from shaking on our morning walks. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and she continues on her way and goes about her business without being bothered. I love the zipped compartment to pull your seatbelts through. I bought the small size even though the charts said it was too small because we use a strong harness (which it can't run away from when hunting small game) and expected it to be a bit large. It fits her perfectly with a harness, except for the back strap. In the future I will have to trim it down to ensure a snug fit as the velcro wears out. I have already washed it and have not noticed any damage from it and expect good durability. This coat would be too heavy for summer as it is lined with fluffy material on the inside. It also dries quickly when wet, especially for small dogs who are only a few inches off the ground and tend to get the straps wet when walking. Good price for the color choices and style factor.
