Review on Occidental Leather 5523 Clip Holder by Michael Syph

As a leather lover I was very interested in the quality of this tool holder, especially for the $35 price tag and I have to say I was very impressed! We'll see how it holds up in the long run, but knowing the west, it should take quite a while. A little pro tip for stretching the tape measure sleeve! I personally try to avoid water stretching leather unless it is wet forming as this can crack the leather in the long run. So I decided to apply a few coats of Top Coat Leather Oil to soften the leather and a top coat of Heavy Duty LP with a waterproof wax coat on top. Personally, I heat the skin first with a hair dryer and then again after covering the skin to open up the pores and let it work. Not sponsored by Obenaufs or anything, just love their products and use them extensively. All natural and will not go rancid over time. Mine was a little tight at first but after working with the oil/wax it was just as nice and flexible without loosening.
