Review on Titan Giant Cable 30 Feet Silver by Laura Pena

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Snapshots are weak. The dog escapes on a rope for the first time.

We have a Pitbull that runs, I bought this chain to replace another (different brand) that worked fine but was getting old and rusty. When I saw the cable I thought it would work very well as it turned out to be very durable. While the cable was strong, there was no latch. The first time we took her there, the ring on her collar slipped out of the clasps and she flew away like a bullet. She ran down a busy street in the middle of rush hour and disappeared. We had no idea where she was for a long time and I drove around the neighborhood with my two young daughters until we finally spotted her. My daughter was able to persuade her to get in the car, so the crisis was avoided. However, it goes without saying that snaps have a fatal flaw and a chain is only as strong as its weakest part, so it goes back to Revain. I'm just glad we were able to capture them safely otherwise I would have very upset little girls missing their beloved dog.

Pros
  • Zip ties and stakes
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
