When I saw the cable I thought it would work very well as it turned out to be very durable. While the cable was strong, there was no latch. Just received on time today overall looks solid and we will build. This is definitely an upgraded version of traditional pet store ties that aren't meant for large dogs. I have a 110# American Bulldog so he will be testing the product. I will update my review after some time. TO EDIT.
