Just received on time today overall looks solid and we will build. This is definitely an upgraded version of traditional pet store ties that aren't meant for large dogs. I have a 110# American Bulldog so he will be testing the product. I will update my review after some time. TO EDIT. I was impressed upon first inspection, seemed solid but after 3 months of use both ends of the cable were completely rusted under the rubber sheath. Has a permanent kink on one end, looks terrible most of the time, but still works. Went from 5 stars to 1 because at this point it doesn't look like it's going to last long. The rubber material surrounding the cable is defective and will quickly begin to crack and absorb moisture, leading to rust. At some point the rusty cable will no longer hold up. At 3 months this shouldn't happen. To put it mildly, this product is designed for large breed dogs. So safety is number 1, unfortunately it doesn't give me confidence for the American Bulldog 100# at the moment. Keep in mind these were summer months with almost no rain. I don't want to see what happens in winter in terms of snow and ice. To edit. After a few months of winter, this is a dangerous weapon. The damaged rubber with a sharp rusty metal cable began to stick out like daggers. Dangerous for the dog and the person who works with it. I wouldn't use that tie if even Hadley's rainwater didn't rust. The shattered weather and snow make it a weapon. I will never take this product again after 3 months of use, moisture seeps in and the degradation process begins. A new design must be learned quickly. Rust and sharp metal cords are serious hazards that should not be taken seriously. This product is intended for use by live animals and humans.
