*MBPR 2012 15" (left fan only replaced) Original fans are quiet and have a steel case (for proximity to high heat). Padarsay replacement fan cases are made entirely of plastic and bracket Holes that DO NOT MATCH. After two of the three mounting screws are installed (they are aligned) you can see the entire fan case flexing in a distorted manner because it is misaligned. Installing the third to last mounting screw causes the plastic case to flex even more and it took (see photo) the plastic tab on the side to be cut off to allow the screw to even fit in the hole.Fortunately, this particular screw (all individual machine screws are designed differently) has a very wide head (that's how little I got of the product after installation familiar) I checked whether the fan is at all d turns. It works, but compared to the standard with an art fan (right side/alter) which I have not replaced, the Pardarsey fan does not whisper quietly. Let's see how long this lasts and I'll update. In my opinion these Padarsey fans are overpriced for what they are. By the way, there are no instructions in the box. You should know that about a year ago (that's how long I live with fan noise) I bought iFixit fans for my 2012 MBPR 15" and found out the hard truth: iFixit swore the fans were new. Inside was here and there was caked dust which the cleaner missed while they were cleaned nicely "like new" on the outside - on closer inspection with a flashlight a stitch inside (everybody lies) they finally half revealed it and feigned surprise and got my money back After some research I found out that there are NO new old stock fans out there (Apple doesn't sell them to anyone) and anything you buy online that claims to be OEM is all ripped out of the back alleys of the Asian Rim is no joke. While Padarsey fans don't claim to be OEM (just cheap aftermarket knockoffs), I'd rather take a risk with a peeled OEM teardown. This is how I feel about a Padarsey product.* *EDIT/UPDATE EDIT: Af as long as I was writing this, the fan just started making a faint noise. Nothing bad, not disturbing, but it is.
