I have the larger rectangular version. It was an excellent choice for rearing monarch butterflies. This is a very good size. The mesh is fine enough that I don't have to worry about losing my chicks. The zippered door opens very wide, making packing and unpacking easier. I've easily grown 7 caterpillars at once and could probably add a few more if I had enough milkweed. My only annoyance was the "see through" plastic window. It was useless. It was so wrinkled I couldn't see it. I have tried to illustrate this with photos. I have found that I can see my animals much better when I look through a mesh than through plastic. And yes, I tried using a hair dryer but it didn't help. The cage sat on the porch for more than a month and the folds were never smoothed out. I also can't figure out how to fold it back to its original shape. Does anyone have a video of this technique?
