2016 Outdoorsman 5 7 Box with Hemi. Installation was easy. The part was inserted into the radio bezel. Have the module connected normally under the steering column. My truck recognized the trailer brake control unit immediately. There are no check engine lights. I was able to change the gain and handbrake with a switch right after installation. Most people had to flash their VINs after installing the controller. The real test is if it works when I take my Jeep this Friday. I will report if there was a normal connection along the 7 pin harness to the car transporter and if the electronic brakes worked. I was able to set the boost to 25mph, manually apply the electronic brakes in hills and traffic, and comfortably tow a 7kg trailer north for 10 hours. Otherwise the best price for this item.
