Review on Enhanced Precision Pet 7029287 Double Nesting Box: Optimal Comfort and Space Efficiency by Rachael Taylor

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure how it would work. References to flimsy materials and assembly issues put me off. I had to add bird feeders to the part of the chicken coop now shared by two roosters. Divided the flock for the winter. It's already in the single digits at night, and I really didn't want to build my own bird house from scratch in a cold garage. The materials were more durable than the reviewers had led me to believe. Yes, I had to touch up a bit where the cuts weren't clean to get the details right. No, I didn't have any catastrophic seams. The box came together with no problems. I glued it where I could to increase durability. There were no instructions included for attaching it to the chicken coop wall. Suggestions for mounting points would be helpful, but I managed. The side panels seem to be the strongest parts so I screwed in small 2x4 pieces so I could screw in the side panel. You hold the top bar. I installed the longer 2x4 piece under the stall where the side panels will rest on. I think the device is strong enough to withstand chickens jumping in and out. (As with many other chicken coop items, I have to keep in mind that I'm not dealing with elephants or even my 60 pound dog. Chickens weigh no more than 6 pounds.) Am I satisfied with the product? Yes. For this price, this is excellent quality. Let's hope it lasts for many years!
