Good, bright bulbs, but they burn like popcorn

We have such lamps for kitchen lamps. They're nice and bright - until they burn out. Of the 20 or so I installed half a year ago, only *four* didn't burn out! We only use these lamps for a few hours a day. Unfortunately, the odd 24V circuit makes rewiring with LEDs difficult. I'll try another brand and see if they last longer.
