Imprinted parts act like perforations

The imprinted wood grain on this looks great! But the imprinted parts are VERY thin, and act like a perforation. so after application, it peels off in shreds, not sheets. It's a non-issue for small, easy, permanent projects (e.g. covering an old tension rod or cheap side table), but would be a headache for large ones where removal is expected (e.g. rental kitchen cabinets).
