wear them in my cold basement while I work there, sometimes for hours at a time. The floors are cold. These shoes did what I was hoping for, which was to keep my feet warm and comfortable on cold floors. They fit well and appear to be well made. I expect them to last me many years for the way I use them. I'm sure if I had walked outdoors on all sorts of rough surfaces the soles wouldn't have lasted as long. But not me. So I will never know how well they will hold up in more extreme conditions. For my purposes they are quite suitable.
