Review on Dorman 692 121 Fuel Sending Unit by David Batte

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is for fuel tanks with a small opening

This was very similar to the product I needed and I thought I could bend the tube to make it work but it is made for fuel tanks with a small opening. My stock tanks (and rusted original tanks) have a much larger opening. I had to resort to purchasing Spectra Premium fuel hangers (which have a fuel pump) just to assemble my 1987 e250 conversion motorhome. If only someone could make inexpensive transfer cases for the fairly common 1987 Ford E250 vans with carburetors and two fuel tanks. Ok Dorman. get to work NOBODY makes transmissions for the 1987 E250 with two fuel tanks and I'm pretty sure they will fit many older Ford vans as well. 1980's Ford vans may not be in high demand (since most 1980's cars were junk), but converted vans like mine are definitely in demand. Sure you won't sell a million of these, but they're cheap to make and some OEM options available with old stock cost around $200. You can easily set an MSRP of $50 for new aftermarkets. I'm just saying.
