I made the mistake of having my cleats ground down to the sole before purchasing these replacements. Don't do this because they will become very difficult! However, I've learned that if you use a flathead screwdriver and pry hard enough, the old spikes will pop out. Just watch out for the flying spikes in the room! Another tip is to remove the dirt between the old spike and the sole of the shoe. Dried dirt and other things act like glue when you try to remove the old spikes the traditional way, making them difficult to turn.
