34T # for cycling

I am a mountain bike and wanted to replace my 11-32T 8spd with something that could ride uphill better. The original cassette was 32-28-24, this one was 34-26-23. 34T is good but unfortunately 26 is too big of a leap and doesn't fill the performance gap like my original cassette. I saved it anyway so I can "hot swap" my rear wheel depending on what track I'm riding that day, heh 34T and 26T. I usually use 34T when climbing and when I reach the apex I find that jumping to 26T suits my cadence and I pick up speed quicker as drag drops. My old cassette with the 32T-28T was good in that it allowed me to "fine tune" my gear on climbs, but for now I'm fine with the 34T-26T with faster acceleration and fewer shifts past the apex.
