I was very surprised how difficult it was for me to open it. It's decorated with Frozen characters so it's clearly intended for kids, but as an adult I had a really hard time opening this container. There was no way my 3 year old could open this on his own in his lunch box. Note that the flat bowl lid does not have the handle shown. I was disappointed that I had to send it back. The pros were that it was a great size for sending hot meals to kids, it's flat so kids can scoop it up and take it out easier (unlike a large thermos), and it was super cute and seemed well made too to be. Cons: Small handles cannot be opened, it cannot be washed in the dishwasher and it does not come with a handle as listed.
