Review on Swordfish 40908 Ebony Sharpener Replacement by Doris Tran

I have tried about 11 different pastel pencil sharpeners on the market. Some are electric, some are battery operated, and some are manual or crank-only models. These blades are for the BEST sharpener I've ever used! Pastel colors quickly dull all blades. Therefore, a blade change is a must! This Swordfish sharpener sharpens pastels evenly and with incredible precision. After about 7-10 pastel pencil sharpenings, be sure to sharpen a few graphite pencils to oil the blade. I am an animal painter and work with pastel and oil paints. Being able to get a sharp, thin point on a pastel stick is crucial for getting mustaches and fine hair. This is my "useful" sharpener!
