I love these sheets. I chose them based on the description of the pattern and the fabric. When I received them I washed them and put them straight on the bed without ironing. They are exactly as described based on fabric and construction details. I believe these sheets will last a long time. I notice that there are low reviews stating wrinkling and a lack of softness and I would suggest that this is not a quality issue but an issue of understanding the fabric these sheets are made from. These sheets are made from cotton percale which is a heavier classic bed sheet that has a specific look that is certainly not silky smooth but has the character of a very breathable cotton percale which is also a great cool fabric for summer. If I want a soft and smooth film, I would choose Satin instead. Satin is silky smooth, has sheen and drape. It is very different from cotton percale. Satin is also warmer with a heavier yarn count, tighter weave and can make a good bed sheet for winter. The number of threads does not always determine the quality or softness of the protective layer - it depends much more on the fabric itself.
