Great camera for wildlife and trail cameras

My review of the OM550 trail camera. I only use my camera to spot deer a few months a year. I placed over 20 cameras in the forest around April and they will remain in the forest until the end of December. During this time I got a very good idea of how well the camera performs in different conditions. Last year I bought 5 different brands of cameras and Oudmon is one of them. I read some reviews and decided to try it myself. My other cameras that I bought didn't give me the best photo quality at night and didn't seem to take pictures with the deer running in front of them. The Oudmon has 48 night shot LEDs which I was hoping would give me good quality night shots. Other cameras I've bought don't have enough LEDs for night shots, so the images turn out dark. After purchasing one of the Oudmons and seeing how well it works I now have 8 of them and have not had a single dropout or bad picture yet.1. Programming Oudmon was very easy and I didn't even need instructions to program it.2. The Oudmon lens is installed in the folding door, so you can't aim and look at the target with the door open. It didn't cause me any problems.3. The batteries are very easy to insert and will not fall out when you open the door. They have a small tab that keeps them secure. This is way better than my other cameras. I had no problems with the camera battery.4. The battery life was very good in summer and autumn. Most cameras took around 8,000 pictures before they had to be replaced. I have used Energizer Max alkaline batteries and they have worked very well.5. The SD card slot is located on the bottom of the camera. The SD card slot is too close to the camera frame and a little harder to remove with your thumbs. It's not a huge issue, but it would be nice to have about 1/8 inch more space between the SD slot and the frame. The camera has a very good sensitivity and surpasses my other cameras. When I tested them side by side, Oudmon took pictures that other cameras missed. Now it's a glowing camera. When shooting at night, the LEDs are not visible during recording. Images at night were much clearer than any other camera from the brand. Daytime shots were very good, if not better than other cameras.8. I secure all my cameras about 10 feet in the air with a 5/16 inch cable lock and point them at my target. This is to deter theft and most of the time people walk past them and don't notice them in the air. If they were in sight, they would probably notice. Finding them that high gives me some moving shadow images, but I never set the sensitivity to high. I found the average sensitivity very satisfactory.9. I also point some of them towards the sun because I have no other choice due to the tree I have to place them in. I know it's not recommended due to overexposure (all white photos), but I've never had overexposed photos.10. I run all my cameras with the factory setting of 3 megapixels and the photos are of very good quality. It's been a very good camera for me and I'm very happy with it.
