Review on Deck Man Stainless Steel Wood Post Anchor - 4×4 inch (Actual: 3.5×3.5 inch) with Post Base Cover Skirt Flange (4 Pack) by Jarrett Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow! It's as if the pillars were concrete!

I can't believe how durable these things are! My deck is 15 years old. I replace the pole and install the railing cable system. I also changed the 6x6 posts to 4x4 for better visibility. I put 5 of these on new racks and bolted 3 racks which I cut and put in the box on one side including 2 corners and a middle rack. Those without brackets were also as strong as they could be. From what has been said and done, bars without a support bracket don't even fall into the same category as bars with a bracket. Incredibly durable! It looks like they're cemented! Fitting the brackets to the posts is very easy IF you take a grinder and bevel the first few inches of the post to start as the fit is very tight. As soon as it started I tapped (medium tap 😁) the strut while holding the post to the garage floor, then flipped it over and checked the depth every few taps. Pre-drill all the holes and use the larger screws to attach the bracket to the deck and the smaller 4 screws to attach the bracket to the rack. Maybe it says so in the instructions. but of course I haven't read them. These mounts exceeded my expectations. I just can't say enough good things about them, even at $40 a piece I think they will stand the test of time. I will update this review if anything changes. If there is no update, everything is fine. I don't really like writing reviews but felt it was worth the time as a few cover clips add up quickly. I hope this helps anyone looking to create or update their existing deck.
