Review on Coway Airmega AP-1216L True HEPA Purifier: Air Quality Monitoring, Auto 🌬️ Mode, Timer, Filter Indicator - White, 10.5 × 32.7 × 10.7 inch by Stacy Jackson

I had several air purifiers and needed one for a very large house. I bought this model and Coway 1512 HH for comparison. Both cars are excellent. Model 1512HH draws air in and out through the sides. This 1216L draws in air from the side and directs it to the right side of the machine. The air sensor on this is located on the left side of the machine. I think how a car moves air is often overlooked when purchasing an air filter. In my very large house I took care of the very expensive Blueair pro XL. He has an incredible CADR rating. But I found I could get similar performance and possibly better filtering with three of these 1216Ls in the same seat. The side ventilation allows me to direct the air around the room instead of just inflating it. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I think this method is more effective in removing dust. In any case, I really like the style of 1216L. Much cleaner and more modern than the 1512. I'm a tall guy and don't have to bend down to operate the controls, which is a plus. The displays also look better. In operation they are about the same. I leave mine on the car. The sensor works well at detecting contamination. Both filter well, both are very quiet, almost inaudible at low frequencies. Now I have 5 of these at home and I like it. They're all automatic and I don't even have to touch them except twice a year. Now the running cost is very low. However, it is twice as high as its 1512 brother, simply because there is no universal filter yet. Overall I am very happy with this filter. I'm very glad I chose Coway over Blueair. Update: A disadvantage of this filter is that it doesn't have a timer. I have a smart plug and use it with Alexa. Some air filters do not turn on after disconnecting power from the plug. This one does. This means you can connect it to an external timer that will turn on the filter with the last setting when the plug is turned on. The only thing that doesn't turn on is the ionizer. It doesn't happen.
