I was repairing the upholstery on a boat. The previous tape gave up. I removed the tape and then taped on 2 foot long strips. It detached well from the backing and has gotten a good job with care - ugly with some tears but functional. Last fall I experienced light quality on the seat for the first time and wintered it under a tarp - lots of heat and water and it held up well. Have to order something else. I thought I had twice what I needed but I ran out.
