The device was working but would not connect on 5GHz. I'm 8 feet from the Mesh Access Point and it shows full signal. Only connected to the 2.4 GHz band and connected to a maximum of 173 MB communication channel. Okay but I wanted faster than that. I tried the drivers from the Realtek website but they made it worse, they only connect via the 54mb d/l link (interestingly the download link still associated with 173 MB). Front USB 3.0 ports or rear USB 3.0 ports didn't matter. My built-in wireless card connects faster, but it's maxed out at 433MB. I bought this to maximize my 1200MB WiFi AC bandwidth. I'll probably come back, I don't need it with a 173MB connection.
