I use two Thermaltake 140mm fans on the front of the case and when they're running at full speed they offer real noise cancellation. The unexpected benefit was on the rear versus a 120mm fan over 14 years old. It's a very cheap crappy fan I got from an old case and with these brackets it went unnoticed. (CAUTION: These things do NOT install in old hard plastic fans. I used 3-in-1 oil to lubricate them and tweezers to push them in when pulling them out. Even then, they nearly broke before they went in.) Me thought I'd have to change my aesthetic thinking, I'd have to switch my front fans to Noctuas. I liked the light loops but the sound could be heard all over the room when folding @ home. It was worth the money.
