I bought this thinking I would use these with a nema 4 outdoor plastic electrical box, but there isn't enough threads on the cable gland to catch the nut. I found myself struggling pushing in really hard squeezing the rubber washer down just to catch one thread. When any of the cable glands are gentle bumped the nut pops off because its only on one thread. The only thing I think this would work on is a typical metal electrical box which has really thin walls. The side that seals around the wire seemed to snug down well, which would have made this a good product for me if it had an extra 1/8 inch of threads.
