Review on Arf Pets Self Cooling Mat Pad: ๐Ÿถ The Ultimate Solution for Kennels, Crates, and Beds by Tyler Hager

Like magic best in Cats

It feels really cool after just a second or two of pressing. As a temperature reference, it appears cooler than a wood floor but not as cold as a stone floor/stand. My dog is about 65 pounds and the smaller of the two sizes (19 x 35) is just right. His paws stick out a little at the ends, but cooling his upper body seems to make a difference. He had to be encouraged to lie on it for the first few days, but over time he figured it out and now goes on it himself. He stays cool for several hours, but eventually gets warmed up by his body heat. It seems to take a long time to "charge" when it wears off, maybe longer than the manufacturer claims, although I haven't timed it. It looks well made and fairly durable, but if I notice any wear and tear I'll update the review. So far I'm happy with my purchase. Update 1: I've had it for a year now and it seems just as good in a sock. Every once in a while I do notice some liquid on it, but it always turns out to be dog saliva, not a leak. Update 2: The mat started leaking after about a year and a half or two of use over the summer.
