universal minimalist lamp, mysterious power supply situation.

That's exactly the lamp that I have to attach to the table under my bunk bed. I set it up behind my computer as a webcam light source, effectively bouncing off the bottom of my bed. It's fantastic for this situation and takes up very little space. The lamp itself is amazing, the light is beautiful, the look is beautiful. A couple of points that I hope I'm missing but that confuse me: 1) This lamp would be 1000% awesome if it came with the correct power supply. It's not like this. And the literature is contradictory. I went online to relearn the electrical skills I needed to figure out what kind of power source I really needed. But here, too, the literature allows for a lot of speculation. In general a 12w device will most likely need a 2.4amp 5v power supply. This is what I use and it seems to get the job done. However, the product description says it's a 12w bulb and the insert that comes with it says it's only 10w. So who knows? I read in the product description here that it requires a 2 amp power supply and the insert that came with the lamp says it requires a 3 amp power supply. I hope I got it right, but I can't figure it out right away due to the ambiguity. 2) The lamp head heats up fairly quickly. It also cools down fairly quickly when the power is off. 3) The clamp that attaches to the table is strong and good, but not coated with silicone as stated in the product description, it is covered with foam on one side of the clamp. Good enough for me, but I want the information provided to be accurate. I will update here if there are any problems.
