Review on πŸ’‘ Efficient AIMS Power 1250 Watt / 2500 Watt Peak DC to AC Inverter - Economical Solution for Power Conversion by Shawn Welker

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Feels and looks solid but only lasted 2 years 10 months.

I have been using this inverter for 2 years and 10 months. At this point, the inverter suddenly stopped working. A table fan was connected to it. The fan ran, then stopped because the AC voltage disappeared and never came back. There are fuses in there. I opened the case with a screwdriver and tested it, but none burned out. When running, the inverter would get stuck in shutdown mode unless the 12V power supply was turned on cleanly with no glitches. Turning on the engine ignition to start caused an instant error which would have activated my 12v auxiliary relay and shut down the inverter. It was annoying. I had to power cycle the inverter to reset the inverter every time I started the engine. I designed a 7 second automatic delay circuit and connected it to my 200A 12V auxiliary relay and it fixed the shutdown problem. Daisy chain another 12V accessory to the same bollards. This inverter looks solid. I have never used the full power that this inverter is designed for. I usually never use more than 75 watts. I tried a 600w kettle several times to see if it would boil water. And so it was. I can't say I've worn out the inverter. He suddenly died alone. This overview refers to the version with a short oval profile. I uploaded three pictures.
