Review on EGO Power Lithium Ion Standard Equipment by Jordan Doyle

I found the EGO products to be perfect. I didn't want to mess around with petrol or oil and decided to go with an electric mower. After a few weeks of research I bought a 21 inch mower as I have a small yard. The description said this battery would mow 1/2 acre - way more land than I have - on a single charge! I was so excited when the mower arrived. When I first used the mower the grass was quite tall and when the battery died after 12 minutes I figured it was because the grass was tall and wet and I was using the self propel option. . I had to charge the battery 5 times to mow the lawn. I mowed the second time a week later. The battery lasted 15 minutes. I wasn't happy but thought maybe the grass is still a bit tall and I'll try again in 3-4 days before the grass grows strong. At first I used the self-propelled option, but then I stopped hoping it would increase battery life. It looks like it didn't happen. Today is the 4th day. I mowed maybe 15-20 minutes. I didn't even mow half of my SMALL backyard! The grass wasn't tall or wet, and I didn't use the self-propelled version at all, which stinks, because that's a big argument for me that I don't have to push as hard when mowing. I am very disappointed with this battery. I'm at my house right now waiting for the battery to charge so I can try to finish the backyard. But once it's recharged, the Texan heat will kill me when I come back to finish mowing. A job that should have taken me 35-40 minutes took all day. I wouldn't recommend a 2.5 battery to anyone.
