Excellent replacement cover. I liked the smoky one more than the original opaque one. Although it looks dark, it lets in some light. Some here say the plastic is flimsy. Yes, it is thinner than our OEM cap. But it seems like it's going to be a long time. The hinge is a simple curved metal. To remove, bend the curved part at the end of the hinge and slide the cover in the opposite direction. The installation is the same idea; Once you have it in place, simply bend the small end piece into a small curved cue and this will keep the hinge from slipping out anyway. CONFIRM COMPLIANCE. The vent cap description could have included more specifications. A lot of people here ask about the size. The manufacturer calls this cover the size 14x14. This alone does not give you confidence that you have the right coverage. I've attached photos to help you confirm this works on your device. I also installed a new vinyl gasket. Vent Line #BVD0455-01, 51" long. Overall I was very happy with the new housing and it is amazing value for money. Saved a lot of money and time taking it to the RV dealer.
