I used this to sand down the side of my house that had no paint on it for 60 years (they just painted over cracked paint etc) and it worked really well, holding onto the weight to get used to and take a break from time to time (I was working on a two-story staircase.) It's expensive and there's a learning curve. One reviewer complained about the stop in the bass slider, saying it's there to limit how deep you can go. You can bypass it if you need it, but if it's too deep you'll be in trouble. The first one I ordered (I bought the kit) had no blade or nut. Revane was very helpful in holding the blade and immediately sent a new one to the block they were in full details. It's expensive but should last a long time unless you use it to remove nails (:>) which I've done a couple of times but still works great. I have also used it to remove 100 year old paint and finishes from very nice aged wood (oak and southern pine) and it has worked well too. By the way, this blade can damage DAMHIKT.
