I had to cut the connector, strip the insulation from two wires, then use nuts to connect this fan. The first photo shows that the old fan is still installed. The second photo from the left shows the new motor I got from Lowes, the only one they brought with them. The middle engine is a new engine. The third motor (far right in the second photo) is the old motor that was removed. The Lowes engine with the smaller blades didn't work because the air was jetted to the sides and didn't push or pull much air out of my bathroom. I couldn't get the Lowes motor to work by simply using the old motor's old shaft because the old motor's shaft was a different size. Trying to just make a fan blade out of an old motor mount on a smaller Lowes motor shaft wasn't worth the trouble. In hindsight I just had to go to Revain just to get a duplicate of the old engine. Realizing the new Lowes motor wouldn't work, I just cleaned the old motor and put it back in until the new motor arrived. My experience with fans is that you can clean them, lubricate them, and extend their life a bit. but save yourself the hassle, install a new motor and you're done.
