I have this and a roll of much wider tape. Wide tape works well for protection under the pickguard, but I prefer this tape to protect the inside of the guitar. The width makes it much easier to line cavities than with a wider tape. The adhesive has excellent conductivity, so sticking the tape is not a problem. Everywhere I test from tape to ground I get continuity. This is a must when working with guitars, especially with single coil pickups or humbuckers that are split or tapped to appear single coil.
