It works!: Cleaning Tools

This is a revised overview. At first I was frustrated because I couldn't figure out how to extend the telescopic arm. I finally realized. I do floor sections every day (my whole house is tiled) and I will say this tool is excellent. First I apply (using an old toothbrush) a thick mixture of baking soda, dish soap (like Dawn) and some water. I then use an old plastic bottle to spread white vinegar over the paste. I let it sit and bubble for 5 minutes, then rub the scrubber back and forth on each grout line 5 or 6 times. It doesn't require much elbow lubrication at all. Then I wipe with a damp cloth that I wipe with a sponge. I don't have to get on my hands and knees. I bend down to apply the paste, but after that I can stand. I used to use Oxy-Clean powder, but this baking soda and vinegar solution works much better and is easier to wipe off. In some places, my light-colored grout was almost black. This brings it back to a new look. A scrubber doesn't come cheap, but a professional grout cleaning costs a fortune (hundreds of dollars), so it's a good buy. The brush is very hard and seems durable.

Pros
  • HARD AREAS: V-shaped bristles easily penetrate narrow and wide grout areas for brilliant results. In addition, it performs a tough cleaning without scratching delicate surfaces.
Cons
